BACKGROUND
EARLY VOTING: APRIL 20 - 28
ELECTION DAY: MAY 2
Decatur ISD has been engaged in an ongoing effort to address district facilities. Following previous bond elections, the district paused to take a deeper look at long-term priorities through the work of the Long-Range Planning Committee. That effort provided a foundation for continued planning and community involvement. Building on those findings, the Bond Planning Committee was formed to carry the work forward and develop a recommendation to the Board of Trustees that aligned with the district’s long-term vision.
This bond package was developed through a community-driven process that included input from the Bond Planning Committee comprised of a cross-section of the community, along with feedback from the broader community. Together, those perspectives contributed to the evolution of the initial plan and helped define the final plan for McCarroll Middle School.
