District-wide updates are included to replace systems and equipment that are nearing or have exceeded their expected life cycle. Over the next five years, many core systems will reach the end of their useful life. The bond includes $18 million dedicated to planned life-cycle replacements to maintain reliability, safety, and functionality across all campuses.

LIFECYCLE OF BUILDING SYSTEMS

  • Lifecycle is the years of use you are expected to get out of a system.

  • With proper maintenance the system can meet and exceed their useful life. 

  • Some building systems have longer useful lives than others.
