TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE
EARLY VOTING: APRIL 20 - 28
ELECTION DAY: MAY 2
The bond includes $3.7 million for technology infrastructure to address connectivity for daily instruction and state-required testing. Online assessments and classroom systems rely on stable networks, and connectivity issues can disrupt testing, cause delays, and result in lost instructional time when systems will not connect.
Network Infrastructure
District Intercom
Texas school districts can receive federal E-Rate discounts that help cover a portion of the cost for eligible technology infrastructure—such as internet access, network equipment, and internal connections—based on a district’s student population and level of need. Decatur ISD plans to use these discounts to maximize taxpayer dollars. These savings are reflected in the scope of the technology infrastructure projects.
